Born in Sapporo (Japan) in 1997, Yuto Takezawa started learning piano from the age of 4 years old. He graduated from Toho Gakuen University of Music with honors and is studying with Hisako Ueno and Shinji Ohno at the moment.
He has won multiple prizes at international competitions, including the second prize, Schumann prize, Beethoven-Haus-Prize and audience prize at Telekom International Piano Competition Bonn (2019) as well as the second prize and audience prize at „Ettore Pozzoli“ International Piano Competition (2021).
In addition to many appearances at national and international concerts, he is also active as a chamber musician which he studied with Nobuko Yamazaki and Shigeo Neriki.
